I am Journalism and Mass Communication Student at the illustrious North Carolina A&T. Attending a HBCU was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The last 3 years have been a very full of growth. I was forced to learn how to be independent, I discover my inner strength and purpose.
Navigating through life in America as a young black millennial woman is sometimes stressful, hints why I created this blog. Things like traveling, writing and exploring my creativity helps to take care of my mind and explore my creativity.
I’ve always been an adventurous person. Attending North Carolina A&T, almost 800 miles from home has allowed me to go on long road trips. This jumpstarted my travel adventures.
The Black Woman
I have began to invest in my career and future by creating my brand HeavieTalk Media. This blog, HeavieTalk is a small part of my growing empire.
I created my podcast HeavieTalk to express myself on another platform. Episodes drop every Friday.
I am finally becoming confident in my identity, who I am as a young black woman. I am beautiful. I am strong. I am blessed. I am creative. I recite these affirmations daily as apart of my self care journey.
I love to travel. Visiting all 50 U.S is one of my goals. One day, I plan on backpacking across the world while journaling my experiences.
My new found confidence has allowed me to explore all the levels of my creativity. I no longer limit myself. I am a writer, content creator, web designer, and the rest I’m coming to discover. I’ve been evolving into my inner being and purpose.
